The Curriculum Is Here!

Is there anything quite as exciting to a homeschool mom as when the curriculum arrives in the mail? Today the door bell rang and there was the UPS man with our box of books for fall. The kids are usually thrilled to see the brown mail truck stop at our house but today they didn't appear too excited about it! I wonder why.

  1. I wonder, too! My kids are still young enough to be excited about starting a new workbook because I let them write their names on 'em and put stickers on the cover. Guess that doesn't work with a 12-year-old, does it?

  2. Congratulations on getting this blog up and running! It looks great. We need more good homeschooling blogs. My own blog is currently a big, muddled, mess. Perhaps I'll just hang out here a while!

  4. It has been ages since I have bought a box full of books to read for lessons. How I envy that feeling, I remember it well.
    Enjoy all the excitement.

  6. I am really looking forward to you telling us more about your plans. I love getting new school books, never mind the kids.

  7. Ours is in the mail...should be here soon from your area of the U.S.(PNW) I can't wait!Another year of Rod & Staff. I managed to get most of the books "used" on ebay, so it didn't cost too much filling in the gaps.My problem is I like the Pathway readers and Climbing to Good English as well as Rod & Staff. It was difficult to choose. I ended up getting the Pathway reader for supplemental reading only along with the matching vocabulary book. The Rod & Staff dealer also sells these really cool puzzle maps that everyone here seems to enjoy. I've seen my husband and three year old working them.
