Thursday was party time at Blueberry House! We exchanged gifts but I didn't get a pic of that! Bummer! After opening gifts the kids dipped marshmallows and pretzels in chocolate. What a bunch of messy fun that was!
After dipping chocolates the kids went upstairs to play games!
After a much debated and animated game of Life they finally settled in to watch the Veggie Tales recount the story of "The True Meaning Of Christmas". The kids had lots of fun. It was a good send off for the Christmas break. Everyone went home with each others junk from the white elephant exchange. Junk, movies and chocolate; what could make a kid happier?
And thus ends the first 4 months of school. Over the break the kids are going to do Math, Language Arts and Reading. It should only take them about an hour every morning because I'm not assigning more than one page in Math and only 2 or 3 in Language Arts. Reading will be reading from books not doing the Reading from the Textbook. I have to keep them in the groove just a bit or its too hard to return after the Christmas break!
Have a great holiday everyone. Take time out to enjoy your family and friends. Don't forget to watch all those wonderful old Christmas classics that come out this time of year. Above all don't forget the One who came as a Baby so that we might have eternal life!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight!
How fun. What a blessing Tink and Peter have. You are a good MAMA and TEACHER. Not because of what I see here. I can tell by the conversations we have had. You have a wonderful Christmas.
